About the Author :-


Dr. Manish Rannjan, a distinguished IAS officer from the 2002 batch, currently serves in multiple roles within the Government of Jharkhand, including Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate across several districts. After completing his early education at Netarhat Vidyalaya, Netarhat, and Patna College, Patna, he pursued his undergraduate degree at Hindu College, University of Delhi. In addition, Dr. Rannjan Ah holds an MBA from the Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Gujarat, and a Ph.D. in Management Studies.

Dr. Rannjan further obtained a Masters of Public Affairs (MPA) from the University of California, Berkeley, and secured the esteemed Chevening Fellowship from the UK Government, enabling him to study at the University of Oxford. His educational journey spans various institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, USA; Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany; International Training Centre, Turin, Italy; and Korea Development Institute, South Korea. Dr. Rannjan’s groundbreaking project utilizing disruptive technology in agriculture has drawn considerable commendation from the World Bank, Washington DC.

Among Dr. Rannjan’s numerous accolades are the “Directors Gold Medal’ for achieving top merit during his IAS professional training, the Prime Minister's ‘MGNREGA Excellence Award’ for two consecutive years, the ‘Nirmal Gram Puraskar’ presented by the President of India, the ‘Star Raft Award’ from the Asian Federation of Intellectual Disabilities in Japan, and the SPANDAN award by the Government of India in recognition of his outstanding work supporting individuals with special needs.
