Once upon a time, a sage was teaching his disciples in his Gurukul.Suddenly a thought occurred to him and he asked a disciple sitting in the front to give one fruit each to all the disciples from the basket full of fruits next to him. The Master said — I am going out for a while. Keep the fruit until I return. Speaking thus, the Master left.

The Master returned after about two hours and asked about the fruits. Only two disciples had followed the Master's orders. Those two disciples had not eaten the fruit. The Master gave those two disciples a basket full of fruits each. Other disciples were stunned. They did not understand what was happening. The Master explained to the disciples II knew that all of you were hungry since morning. So, I gave each of you a fruit, but I asked you not to eat it until I returned. This was a test of your patience, which only two disciples passed. The rest of you could not endure the hunger. These baskets full of fruits are the reward for their patience. The sage further said - We lack patience in our life. As a result, we are unable to achieve something big. Therefore, we should always have patience.
